Bonhams Prepares for Prints & Multiples Sale
Upcoming auction features works by Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, and Joan Miró as the house builds on its summer momentum.

Bonhams's upcoming Prints & Multiples auction presents a rich array of works spanning centuries of printmaking. Among the highlights is Damien Hirst's The Secrets, a set of eight vibrant prints estimated at $35,000 to $55,000. Pop art icons are well represented, featuring Andy Warhol's classic Tomato-Beef Noodle O's, from Campbell's Soup II, carrying an estimate of $30,000 to $50,000. Alongside it, the natural world comes alive in the elegant Snowy Heron or White Egret, pl. CCXLII after John James Audubon, which is estimated at $30,000 to $50,000. Modern masters add depth, with Joan Miró's playful and colorful composition Mambo valued at $20,000 to $30,000, adding a vibrant touch to the catalog.
This event follows a busy summer for the house. In July, Bonhams hosted several notable auctions, including the California, Western & Hawaiian Art Online sale, which realized $379,085, and The Art of Hawaiʻi, which brought in $1,706,798. During the same month, the Fine Silver and Wedgwood sale achieved $1,338,141.
For industry professionals tracking market health, this sale offers an important test of the art category, which has realized $232,654,277 across all tracked houses this year, with a strong category-average sell-through of 86.2%. While Phillips currently leads the category, Bonhams remains a key player, with its overall year-to-date total across all sales reaching $18,496,614. This upcoming auction will contribute to the house's specialized print segment, which has already realized $6,220,476 this year with an 81.4% sell-through rate.
As an upcoming auction that is not yet open for bidding, collectors are preparing their strategies. The bidding has not yet commenced, but the attractive estimates provide accessible entry points for high-quality multiples.
