Bonhams Opens Bidding on Outlander Production Treasures

Bonhams opens its doors to television history with "Outlander: The Auction Online," a curated sale celebrating the material culture of the hit drama. Leading the catalog is a Canadian birch bark and spruce wood canoe, carrying an estimate of £1,000 to £2,000 for the canoe. Wardrobe highlights include an aubergine coloured dress worn by Jocasta, estimated at £1,500 to £2,000 for the aubergine dress, alongside Claire's red dress worn at River Run, which carries an estimate of £1,000 to £1,500 for the red dress. Collectors will also find Jamie's 'Redcoat' Military Uniform, estimated at £1,000 to £1,500 for the uniform, and two regal court suits in gold and blue worn by Prince Charles, estimated at £1,000 to £1,500 for the suits. Production artifacts include a large clapperboard, estimated at £1,000 to £1,500 for the clapperboard, and a large matched pair of gold painted wood and composition panels in the Rococo style, estimated at £1,000 to £1,500 for the panels. Jenny's daywear costumes round out the top offerings at £1,000 to £1,500 for the daywear.
This online event follows a busy July for the house, which saw "A Life in Ceramics: The Peter and Mary White Collection of Chinese Art, Part IV" bring in £208,205 across 137 lots sold, "Modern British and Irish Art" realize £759,501 across 156 lots sold, and "Travel & Exploration: including the Roger Ward Photography Collection" secure £532,966 with 183 lots sold.
